Mount Auburn Hospital, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital founded in 1866 as the first hospital in Cambridge (originally known as Cambridge Hospital).<\/p>\n

This historic facility had four main project goals:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Increase capacity of high-purity water<\/li>\n
  2. Adhere to stringent spatial constraints and vertical height limitations
    for the installation of new RO equipment<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Decrease cycle times of the surgical sterilization equipment<\/li>\n
  4. Eliminate the cost, space and maintenance of a water softener

    The SmartGuard SG-30K RO system<\/a> eliminates the need for a softener and chemical pre-treatment while delivering a large volume of high-purity water. System comes with two VFD driven 20 gpm at 60psi delivery pumps, two system pumps and an ultrasonic level sensor to install in the customer provided tank. The SG-30K RO system reduced the 33 minute cycle of the cart washer to 20 minutes.     When the current water treatment company could not design an RO system to meet the increased demand and limited space constraints, Mount Auburn Hospital turned to EasyWater for a customized solution. Since installing the EasyWater SmartGuard SG-30K, the hospital has reduced cart washing cycles from 33 minutes to 20 minutes, effectively eliminating the bottleneck in their daily sterilizing operations.<\/strong> The SmartGuard RO system met the hospital’s requirements and exceeded their expectations.<\/p>\n
