EasyWater, a Watts brand, was founded in 1986 by engineer Bill Freije with a practical challenge: solving costly cooling tower blowdown issues and improving system efficiency where traditional treatment methods fell short.

When a friend in college facilities needed help reducing chemical use and water waste from a cooling tower system, Bill began developing a better approach. What started as one real-world problem became the foundation of the company.
